5 ways raving is better in the daytime
Partying at night in a dark club is par for the course for many of you. But daytime raving can often be way more enjoyable, for many reasons.
Being outdoors in the elements, soaking up the sun and great music with your friends, makes daytime partying extra special. Here’s why raving is better in the daytime…
EVERYBODY LOVES THE SUNSHINE
While it may not always be guaranteed to shine, the feeling of the sun on your skin has positive benefits. Sunshine triggers the production of serotonin in the brain giving us a mood boost, as well as vitamin D which promotes all-round health and wellbeing. Whatever the weather, being outdoors in the elements brings us closer to nature.
ENERGY BOOSTER
By the time you’ve hit a night party, you may have already been awake for eight hours or more, disco naps aside. At night your body is supposed to be resting, and daytime is when our energy peaks. Not to mention daylight itself combats fatigue.
LESS IMPACT ON SLEEP CYCLE
Raving during the day means you can still get to bed at a decent hour - that is, if you don’t carry on through the night. Disrupted sleep cycles can trigger low moods, poor digestion, increased stress and a myriad of other negative health issues.
EVERYONE CAN SEE EACH OTHER
There’s something magical about being able to see everyone around you dancing. You can make eye contact and connect, or simply admire everyone’s vibrant rave garms. This cultivates a communal atmosphere.
MORE OPPORTUNITY FOR OLD SCHOOL RAVERS
Let’s face it, a lot of you older ravers have responsibilities (and longer recovery times) that rule out night time raves. Daytimes, though, are a more attractive prospect. You can party the day away and still make the most of the following day. Also, old school heads can add an elite level of positivity and experience to parties.
