4 tips for surviving a big weekend
You know how it is. It’s one of those weekends where there are so many offers of fun you can’t say no. Along the way you’ve neglected to take care of yourself. You end up feeling as though you could have had a better time if you’d been more considered in the build up.
It happens to the best of us. However, with a little bit of “pre-race prep”, you can get through a big weekend in style and still feel relatively healthy when it’s all said and done. Here’s how…
BANK LOTS OF SLEEP
If there’s even a hint that the upcoming weekend will be a big one, get lots of sleep in the run up. By banking a good few nights of sleep, you’ll be feeling energised. This is a surefire way to set yourself up for a marathon sesh.
HYDRATION IS ESSENTIAL
If you’re consuming substances that have a toxic effect on your internal organs all weekend, then it’ll be tainted by a whole world of pain and suffering. Remember to keep drinking water as often as you can. Aid the detox pathways and leave yourself better off when you emerge on the other side.
IT’S OK TO TAP OUT
Bound to spark controversy among your mischievous crew of ravers. If you need to take some time out or even leave altogether, don’t be afraid to do so. This will give your body and mind time to re-energise. Yes, you want to see things through to the end, but that doesn’t mean you can’t take a breather along the way.
