4 reasons to leave the club before close
The average party goes on through to the early hours of the morning, which means closing time can be anything from 4am to 8am. Avid ravers often want to see the night through to the end, no matter what state they end up in.
But it’s not always the best idea to stay until the lights come on and be surrounded by a sea of discarded plastic cups. Here are four reasons to leave the club before close…
FUTURE YOU WILL BE THANKFUL
It may feel like a bit of a tug at the time, but getting yourself out of the club and home at a (semi) reasonable hour will have less impact on your mood over the following days. Pushing it to the very end every time you’re out will result in longer-term issues, such as exhaustion. Going home earlier gives you the time and space to recoup, and have a more sustainable party life.
IT JUST FEELS SO GOOD TO BE IN BED
It really does, doesn’t it?! In all seriousness, spending more time in bed means you’ll be able to achieve a decent amount of sleep time, which is one of the bedrocks of a healthy life.
TIME LIMITS = MORE FOCUSED FUN
If you give yourself a curfew, you’ll be motivated to make the most of the time you have. Rather than spend all night chatting with randoms in the smoking area (which is also fun), you may end up locking yourself into that front-left position to get the most out of the few hours you have.
MORE TIME TO ENJOY LIFE
Getting home at 10am means you’re likely to spend most of the day in bed recovering, whereas 4 or even 5am means you could still get up and spend the afternoon doing something wholesome; seeing friends and family, or maybe cooking a nice meal. Whatever it is, you won’t be wasting a whole day feeling sorry for yourself in bed.
