Why you should rave with your parents
Partying is something we do within close-knit social groups, friends, possibly some family, girlfriends, boyfriends, husbands, wives and so on. Parents never get a look in, which is understandable.
Some of you can barely stand to be with your parents at the best of times. However, there is a lot to be said for pushing through whatever your triggers are and embarking on a night out with the ‘rents. But why?! Read on…
BOLSTER YOUR RELATIONSHIP
Some of you may already have a strong relationship with your parents, while others may not. Nevertheless, we all appreciate the bonding experience that can occur on a night out. Having a good old rave with your parents has the potential to bring you closer together.
BRING THEM INTO YOUR WORLD
Some parents find that they know less and less about their children as they get older. You live very separate lives. Taking them to see your favourite DJ, or to your favourite club, gives them a glimpse into your world, which can only be a positive thing (so long as you don’t get up to too much mischief).
THEY DESERVE A PROPER NIGHT OUT
As most people get older they spend less time raving, which is a crying shame. Everyone deserves a proper night out once in a while, so consider gifting your parents the chance to accompany you on the dance floor, just once… Who knows, it might lead to more.
YOU MIGHT LEARN A THING OR TWO
Don’t forget that a lot of your parents were partying way before you were born. Taking them out for a little rave means you might be privy to information, or old dance moves, that you didn’t know about. Give it a try, you never know what might come up.
IT’S ACTUALLY A BEAUTIFUL THING TO DO
Above all else, spending quality time with your parents is a wonderful thing to do. You only have one life to live, so why not make the most of it before your time is up? You don’t have to go crazy and get on it with them, but inviting them out for a rave has the potential to make a positive impact on your connection with your parents…
