5 powerful resolutions to boost your partying
It’s that time of year when many of you decide to make a change and commit to new ways of being and behaving. Typically, you might feel as though you need to stop partying for a while to maintain your resolutions.
But, how about using the new year as an opportunity to consider ways to boost your partying and make it more sustainable? Here are a few suggestions…
OPTIMISE YOUR SLEEP
Sleep is the cornerstone of a sustainable rave career. For all the marathon weekends and after afters, you’ll need to ensure you’re getting sufficient sleep on your “off days”. Optimise your sleep by cutting out screen time at least an hour before bed, for example, and you’ll boost your partying.
LESS IS MORE
When you’re deep into the rave lifestyle it can be easy to lose yourself and get caught up in going to as many parties as possible. With the less is more approach, you’ll learn to appreciate the special moments, and have a more fulfilling rave career.
DO MORE FULFILLING ACTIVITIES OUTSIDE OF RAVING
If parties dominate your free time, then consider committing to other fulfilling activities outside of the rave. Spend time with friends and family, take walks in nature, or a try new hobby like rock climbing. Whatever it is, dedicating more time to those things will have a positive impact on your partying.
ADOPT A HEALTHIER LIFESTYLE
In line with optimising your sleep, make a resolution to adopt a more holistically healthy lifestyle. Exercise, eat good food and drink lots of water. Take up meditation or some other way to calm the mind. These things can be integrated as essential components of a lifelong raver’s wellbeing toolkit.
COMMIT TO YOURSELF
Use your New Year’s resolutions to commit to yourself. Outline the changes you want to make that will have the most positive benefits to you. When you put yourself first, it makes everything in life much better, including raving. Make that commitment, and see what changes it inspires.
